The role

This is a founding leadership role. You will build our UK and European contract function from zero and own it outright: the strategy, the clients, the team and the P&L. Your first job is to unlock contract demand inside our existing perm clients, then expand into new accounts. You’ll set up the operating engine, from rate cards and margin to compliance and payroll partners, and grow the division to £100k GP per month, then keep going.

You bring a track record of building a contract desk from zero, not just inheriting one, in defence, aerospace, autonomy, robotics or a related engineering market. You have hired and developed contract recruiters, you know IR35 and European labour leasing models. You think in margin, extensions and cash, and you’re happy to be a player coach while the function is built.
